Charlie Keen was raised in Colorado and Texas by his entrepreneurial artist mother and pastor father. After attending Colorado College, he moved to California, where he managed a specialty sporting goods store in the upscale Marina district of San Francisco.
In 1999, Charlie began his apprenticeship with San Francisco Restorations and, by 2002, launched his own construction company, which generated over $20 million in sales through 2019. As a dedicated community volunteer, Charlie spent 16 years as a project manager for Rebuilding Together, an organization that helps low-income families and nonprofits maintain their homes and facilities.
An avid traveler, Charlie has explored five continents and 46 US states, and enjoys a variety of hobbies including golf, rollerblading, fine woodworking, scuba diving, and open water swimming. In 2009, Charlie co-founded a community theater company and served as board president from 2017 to 2018. In 2016, Charlie took up triathlons and joined the Oakland Triathlon Club, and also served as board president from 2018 to 2019.
Charlie moved to Cleveland in January 2020 and now resides in the Waterloo Arts District. He is currently completing a full house remodel and spends his extra time training his Aussiedoodle Darcy, rehabbing furniture, and growing his company, Keen Estate Sales, into a leading estate liquidation company in Northeast Ohio.
